The Gray Wolf brings new tastes to the 2018 Fest

The 2018 George Washington Whiskey Rebellion Fest, brought to you by the Community Trust Foundation, will feature new tastes from Gray Wolf Craft Distilling.  Gray Wolf is a boutique Maryland distillery which was founded in 2016 by husband and wife, R.B. Wolfensberger and Meghan Brown.

Gray Wolf is a distillery within a distillery. The Wolf launched their brand from Lyon Distilling Co. on the Eastern Shore in Saint Michaels.

Gray Wolf is committed to making distinct spirits, from scratch. Their Lone Single Malt Vodka is made from 100% malted barley, and mashed, fermented, distilled, and bottled by hand. Lone is clean and soft with the slightest hint of malt sweetness.

Timber Sassafras Finished Gin is also mashed, fermented, distilled, and bottled by hand from malted barley. This American style gin is distilled with juniper berries, citrus peels, cardamom, peppercorn, rose hips, hibiscus, and elderflower. This produces a clean and crisp spirit, balanced with floral and pepper notes, with a bright and unique finish from the sassafras.

The Fest opens on Friday June 8, 6-10pm. Enjoy live Colonial games, mingle with a national-renowned ‘George Washington’ living biographer and other re-enactors, get souvenir photos, and a goody bag. Sample dozens of whiskies and other spirits, and craft beers. Enjoy the open beer and wine bar, and continuous delicious canapes by Good Carma. All at Allegany Museum, 3 Pershing St Cumberland.

Only $50 per ticket ($75 at the door). Purchase through the Whiskey Rebellion Facebook page or www.whiskeyrebellioncumberland.org, or purchase at the Book Center, Cumberland, or Main St Books, Frostburg.
