First legal moonshine distillery coming to Fest!

The George Washington Whiskey Rebellion Fest, brought to you by the Community Trust Foundation, is pleased to announce that the first legal moonshine distillery in Somerset County Pennsylvania Since prohibition  will be joining us!

Tall Pines Distillery doesn’t just make moonshine – it produces fifteen versions of it! Varieties include Pine Top (or straight moonshine), Pine Sap (cinnamon-vanilla), caramel, Moonshine Mar’rita, and apple pie. As they say, it’s a “Different Class of Hillbilly”.

Have a look at the Tall Pines website http://www.tallpinesdistillery.com/ for cocktail recipes developed especially for Tall Pine spirits. One that caught our eye was Shine in the Pines, made with equal parts straight moonshine, orange juice, cranberry juice and peach schnapps.

You can even have a look inside the distillery at https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=13&v=Th5cgyFHJkU

At the Whiskey Rebellion Fest, Friday June 7 6-10 pm, you can sample Tall Pines, and buy a few bottles if you wish. Tall Pines will be joining a dozen other whiskey, gin, brandy and vodka producers, and craft beers from Terrapin, Dogfish Head, Antietam, and Stone.

The ticket entitles you to play live Colonial games, mingle with re-enactors, get souvenir photos, and take home a goody bag. Enjoy the open beer and wine bar, and continuous delicious canapes by Good Carma. All at Allegany Museum, 3 Pershing St Cumberland MD.

Only $50 per ticket ($75 at the door). Purchase through the Whiskey Rebellion Facebook page or here, or purchase at the Book Center, Cumberland, or Main St Books, Frostburg.
