The Hancock Civil War String band is just one act in the line-up for the Whiskey Rebellion Celebration at Canal Place, just across from the Museum. The group performs with accordion, banjo, guitars, fiddles and string bass, and melodic four part vocal harmonies. You can get a taste of their music in the clip below, featuring ‘Soldiers’ Joy’, a song about the warmth and comfort of a dram.
Other acts include excerpts from the Broadway hit ‘Hamilton’, Molly Pitcher, Jane Frazier, and more presented by the Embassy Theatre, and Ray Owen’s Classic American songs & humor, on stage from 12 noon to 6, followed by the Blues Brothers Tribute Band at 8.
