Martha Washington plans to attend the George Washington Allegany Museum Whiskey Rebellion Fest!
Her husband, President George Washington, confirmed his attendance some time ago. (Perhaps Mrs. Washington plans to keep an eye on him?)
Cumberland’s own Marion Daniels will attend as Martha Washington, and Karl Closs, George Washington’s nationally-known living biographer, says he will be pleased to see his wife in attendance.
The George Washington Whiskey Rebellion Fest, brought to you by the Community Trust Foundation, opens on Friday June 8, 6-10pm.
Enjoy live Colonial games, mingle with re-enactors, get souvenir photos, and a goody bag. Sample dozens of whiskies and other spirits, and craft beers. Enjoy the open beer and wine bar, and continuous delicious canapes by Good Carma. All at Allegany Museum, 3 Pershing St Cumberland.
